Lenka Krobotová was born into an artistic family. From the age of twelve, she was keen on folk and later scenic dance, yet when she was offered a stand-in by Petra Špalková in a performance of the Kašpar Theatre, she decided to do acting. A graduate from the Theatre Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, Lenka is a permanent member of the Dejvice Theatre in Prague where she portrayed characters in the Karamazov Brothers, the Tales of Ordinary Madness, the Three Sisters, the Magic Flute, Teremin, Elective Affinities, and many more.

She was also offered interesting parts by the radio where she played the lead role in the radio play Maryša. As a member of the Impuls Dance Ensemble, she appeared in Šakalí léta (Big Beat, by Jan Hřebejk, 1993). She also featured in a number of television films and fairy tales (Byla láska [There Was Love], Černí andělé [Black Angels], Královna se sloníma nohama [The Queen with Elephant Feet]), as well as TV series Dobrá čtvrť (Good Neighbourhood) or Hraběnky (Countesses). In 2005, she played the lead in the Czech and Finnish co-production picture Restart (by Julius Ševčík), and the main female role in the black comedy Doblba! (Over and Over!, by Petr Vachler). In the subsequent year, she played one of the main characters in the Czech Television series Poslední sezona (Last Season, by Hynek Bočan, 2006). In 2008, Lenka appeared in the television film Brainstorm (by Jiří Strach) and she portrayed Grushenka in Karamazovi (The Karamazov Brothers), a film by Petr Zelenka, which was awarded the Czech Lion for the Film of the Year in 2008.
